Welcome to Surrey Old Boys Hockey Club

Welcome to the website of the Surrey Old Boys Hockey Club (SOBS HC). We're a now in our 3rd year as a club and now have two teams, the 1st XI play in the Surrey 1st XI Div 1 and the 2nd XI play in the Surrey Open Div 4.
We are the only club based in Guildford, with our home at the University Varsity Centre.

New Club Committee for the 2009-10 Season

Following the 4th AGM of the Surrey Old Boys Hockey Club, a new committee was elected.  The traditional roles where voted in, and a new role was created. This new role; the club secretary, will look after player details, take and distribute minutes, and assist the work of the committee.

4th Annual AGM Agenda

The 4th club annual general meeting takes place on Saturday 18th, please make sure you attend to guide the future of your club.

New committee members will be voted in, and some key decisions will be made around training, and subscriptions.

Saints And Sinners 2009

East grinstead mixed hockey festival.

The tournament will be again held on a combination of our premier league water-based pitch, all-weather sand-based pitch and 2 grass pitches. All the entertainment will be held in our huge indoor marquee with full catering and camping facilities, bar service and bank/cashback facility all on-site. We anticipate a 36 team competition playing to normal mixed hockey rules.

Festival schedule:

Friday Evening Official Start: Camping set-up, welcome drinks and registration followed by a night of live music.

Students Win 10th annual Dr Colin Pacey Memorial Match

On Sunday 9th May, the SOBS joined together with the students and other Surrey University Hockey Almuni for their annual games to take home the final silverware of the season.
